The one problem I ran into was with streaming services. I started watching a movie on Netflix, but the light strip refused to sync. I have since learned this is due to content protections designed to prevent people from recording content in streaming services. As far as Netflix is concerned, the Philips Hue Desktop app looks like it's recording movies and shows—it was the same story with Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video. If you can afford it, you’ll love the Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip. It adds dynamic lighting to the background of your TV.
